Presentation of myself

My name is Antonio Cordeddu and I am the owner of Coranto. When I founded the company in 2002, I decided to pursue in my company values that have always been a reference point in these years: put the customer and his needs at the center, share with the customer the design and the plan, support in time the companies that have chosen Coranto. These values are those that still orient my company.

I opted for the open source software projects because I agree with the guiding principles, among them, what I think is the most significant, that through the contribution of each one you can contribute to the growth of all.

I usually call myself a "software craftsman" in the sense that I like objects built with love and passion for what you do.

I forgot ... I'm graduated in mathematics, I'm working from over 30 years in information technology, I'm married, I have five children and I like jogging.

History

We have been active since 2002 and we have always been involved in website analysis and design, helping companies and corporations to offer themselves with success.
We started making use of JSP/MySQL but very soon we discovered OpenCms world, with all its flexibility and reliability.

Starting from the project for Agritourism in Sardinia, carried out in 2005: a portal providing information about all the farm holidays of Sardinia. For this project we have achieved the first migration from other platforms to OpenCms.

In 2012 and 2013 we worked with IIS Consulting in building the institutional website of Lavazza, using OpenCms.

In 2013 we launched the email hosting professional service servermx.com, developed on OpenCms platform.

From 2005 to today we autonomously achieved and developed company websites, designing and developing their content management system on OpenCms platform, in full compliance with the international standards about accessibility WAI – AAA.

Methodology

We never leave anything to chance in our projects. That is why we follow a structured methodology dealing with all the single steps of analysis and design, being based on the instructions coming from the RUP (Rational Unified Process).

RUP is the best practice methodology adopting an iterative approach, considering the whole of the processes implicated in the project more than watching to the single process on itself.

The consequence of this approach is a development methodology involving the strict conformity to some main steps:

  1. the full goals and results sharing with the customer;
  2. a joined certification of any reached result;
  3. a realistically designed planning of the several projects steps;
  4. respect of the time plan for any single step;
  5. incremental product development;
  6. verification and quick identification of any eventual evident bug or any discontent in comparison with the goals.
    The system modelling is done using the Unified Modeling Language.
